Under the proposed EU Green Claims Directive (COM/2023/166), enforcement of substantiation requirements will fall to national competent bodies — the same bodies responsible for administering EU Ecolabel licences in Switzerland. Businesses holding or relying on EU Ecolabel certification issued in Switzerland should monitor both licence status and national enforcement guidance as the Directive progresses through adoption.
