Question

In relation to investment funds the D1 LOG guidance states “For investment funds, the issuer name is the name of the fund manager”. Generally, for most of the funds in the market there is an issuer and a separate fund manager. Also, there may be instances both the issuer and the fund manager are the same party. Where the issuer and the fund manager are two separate parties we are proposing to populate this cell with the name of the issuer of the fund. Can EIOPA confirm if this acceptable?

Answer

In fact in that situation the cell should reflect the name of the fund manager.
