Question

What method should we use to calculate the OFR on 31 December 2024 (e.g. to present in COREP 16.00) - new standardised approach according to CRR3 or one of existing approaches (BIA, TSA, AMA)?

Background

In the executive summary of the "Final report on amendments to the ITS on supervisory reporting - CRR3/CRD6" there is an information that the first reference date is 31 March 2025. The article 59 of this report (part: Calculation of the Business indicator considering past periods) states that: - institutions shall calculate their OFR basing on the information available at the financial year-end; - the last three twelve-monthly observations should start from the end of the financial year. The table in the article 60 shows that the OFR on December 2024 should be based on the full year data from December 2024, December 2023, December 2022.
