Die BaFin hat der Babcock Pensionskasse VVaG am 29. Oktober 2025 die Erlaubnis zum Betrieb des Versicherungsgeschäfts widerrufen. Das Unternehmen konnte die Mindestkapitalanforderung nicht erfüllen und keinen realistischen Finanzierungsplan zur Beseitigung dieser Unterdeckung vorlegen.
Der Bescheid ist mit Ablauf des 01. Dezember 2025 bestandskräftig geworden.
Die Babcock Pensionskasse VVaG darf nun keine neuen Versicherungsverträge mehr abschließen und bestehende Verträge weder verlängern noch erhöhen. Bestehende Verträge werden ordnungsgemäß durchgeführt und abgewickelt. Die BaFin hatte gegenüber dem Unternehmen bereits am 8. April 2005 angeordnet, keine neuen Versicherungsverträge mehr abzuschließen.
