Die BaFin hat am 2. August 2022 eine Geldbuße in Höhe von 5.100.000 Euro gegen die Bank of America Corporation festgesetzt.
Der Sanktion lag ein Verstoß gegen § 130 Absatz 1 Ordnungswidrigkeitengesetz (OWiG) in Verbindung mit den §§ 33 Absatz 1 Satz 1, 38 Absatz 1 Satz 1 und 39 Absatz 1 Wertpapierhandelsgesetz (WpHG) zugrunde. Die Bank of America Corporation hatte Stimmrechtsmitteilungen nicht rechtzeitig abgegeben.
Das Unternehmen kann gegen den Bußgeldbescheid Einspruch einlegen.
