Die BaFin hat am 7. Juli 2022 Geldbußen in Höhe von 510.000 Euro gegen die MATERNUS-Kliniken AG festgesetzt.
Der Sanktion lagen Verstöße gegen § 115 Absatz 1 Satz 1 Wertpapierhandelsgesetzes (WpHG) zugrunde. Die MATERNUS-Kliniken AG hatte der Öffentlichkeit die Halbjahresfinanzberichte für die Geschäftsjahre 2016, 2017 und 2018 nicht zur Verfügung gestellt.
Das Unternehmen kann gegen den Bußgeldbescheid Einspruch einlegen.

Als Ergebnis der mündlichen Verhandlung hat das Amtsgericht Frankfurt am Main mit Urteil vom 28. April 2023 gegen die MATERNUS-Kliniken AG nach Erörterung der Sach- und Rechtslage eine Geldbuße in Höhe von 360.000 Euro festgesetzt. Das Urteil ist rechtskräftig.
