Die BaFin hat am 4. Juli 2022 Geldbußen in Höhe von 11.290.000 Euro gegen die Steinhoff International Holdings N.V. festgesetzt.
Der Sanktion lagen Verstöße gegen § 114 Absatz 1 Satz 1 Wertpapierhandelsgesetz (WpHG) sowie gegen § 130 Absatz 1 Ordnungswidrigkeitengesetz (OWiG) in Verbindung mit § 40 Absatz 1 Satz 1 WpHG zugrunde.
Die Steinhoff International Holdings N.V. hatte der Öffentlichkeit den Jahresfinanzbericht für das Geschäftsjahr 2016/2017 nicht rechtzeitig zur Verfügung gestellt.
Zudem hatte die Steinhoff International Holdings N.V. die Veröffentlichung von Stimmrechtsmitteilungen nicht rechtzeitig vorgenommen.
Das Unternehmen kann gegen den Bußgeldbescheid Einspruch einlegen.
