Should DLT MTFs/TSS populate Field 40 – Complex trade ID of RTS 22?

Irrespective of whether an exemption from reporting was granted or not, Field 40 “Complex trade ID” should not be populated because strategies do not fall into the scope as defined in Article 3(1) of the DLT Pilot regime regulation [1] . [1] ESMA Report on DLT Pilot regime. Paras 184: ESMA clarifies that this field does not apply in this context because strategies do not fall within the DLT Pilot scope.
