Question
When an ESG rating provider notifies an issuer or rated item for the purposes of a fact-checking review, is access to the respective dataset granted only upon request?
Answer
ESG rating providers are required to grant access to the dataset upon request of the issuer or rated item, in which case it should be granted as soon as possible. Alternatively, access to the dataset can be provided automatically, in parallel with the notification.
