Question
Regarding the cell A22 - Quantity, could you please clarify, in which currency the invested amount measured at par amount for CIC categories 1,2,5 and 6 should be reported in case, that the currency of the issue is different from the currency of reporting (e.g. bond is issued in USD but reporting currency is EUR)? This issue also relates to the cell A23 – Unit SII price for CIC categories 3 and 4.
The definition of the cell A26 – Total SII amount implies that the amounts related to the above mentioned cells should be submitted in the currency of reporting. However, we would consider the submission of corresponding amounts in the currency of the issue more helpful.
Answer
In fact the cells indicated should be reported in the reporting currency and the formula is correct. Information on the currency of the issue should be reported in cell ”A13 – Currency” but all values should be reported using the reporting currency.
