Question

We have noticed that Bloomberg does not provide data for Bulgarian government bonds due to the currency change (to EUR) in Bulgaria. In your latest document, the same RIC (0#BGXZ=R) is specified as applicable for Bulgarian government bonds after 01-01-2026, as previously, and also it should be used as a component of the SK VOLA (with a 1% weight) according to your latest representative portfolio update. How should we handle this given the lack of available data?

Answer

We are aware of an issue on the side of the market data provider with the data for Bulgarian government bonds. We have been in contact with LSEG and have been informed that the situation will be resolved. If you have access to LSEG Workspace, you can monitor ALERT57 for further information there. The RICs for Bulgarian government bonds will hence not be changed.
