Question
We believe there is a small error/omission in the 3rd paragraph of the General comments to S.06.03. It reads: "The template shall include information corresponding to 100 % of the value invested in collective investment undertakings. However, for the identification of countries the look–through shall be implemented in order to identify the exposures of 90 % of the total value of the funds minus the amounts relating to CIC 8 and 9, ....." The reference to CIC 8 and 9 should also include CIC 7 in our opinion, to align with the extension to the exemption (in the 2023 update to the ITS) of C0040 to include CIC 7
Answer
EIOPA confirms that in the instructions of S.06.03 the reference to CIC 8 and 9 should also include CIC 7. This will be reflected in the next ITS amendments.
