Question

S.04.04.01.01 is reported by underwriting entity as specified in S.04.03. Validation rules between S.04.04.01.01 and S.05.01.01.01 is not able to capture the input reported for other underwriting entities than the head office in validation. Example BV1875; “Fire and other damage to property insurance"" reported in template S.04.04 - Activity by country - location of underwriting should be equal to the total GWP written in the S.05.01 - Premiums, claims and expenses by line of business for ""Fire and other damage to property insurance"" in R0110. If we summarize all S.04.04.01.01 templates for LOB 7 for all UW entities reported we have the same amount as reported in S.05.01 C0070R0110. According to the validation details there are amounts not considered for other UW entities than the Head office. Could you please clarify if there is a problem with these validations, all severity "warning" in XBRL-validation. The question concerns all validation rules between S.04.04.01.01 and S.05.01.01.01.

Answer

The adjusted validation, such as BV1875, compare the S.04.04 Business underwritten in the country of establishment and through FPS in country different from country of establishment, to the S.05.01 values for corresponding lines of business.
