Question
Regards the new datapoint C0071 (“Total amount of commissions paid during year”) for S.14.01 for 2.8 and the associated LOG guidance (in the draft business package supporting SII taxonomy 2.8.0). We would welcome confirmation that it would be reasonable to expect the sum of S.14.01.01.05 C0071 should reconcile to sum of S.04.04.01.01 C0010 R0050 and S.04.04.01.01 C0020 R0050 (all records i.e. total for all Z0020) for the matching Line of Business. This would be applicable for Lines of business 29 through 32 i.e. not the annuities lines of business as C0071 is not applicable.
Answer
EIOPA confirms that S.14.01.01.01 column C0030 (Line of business) has matching LoBs to options 29 – 32 in S.04.04. In addition, annuities stemming from non-life insurance contracts should be excluded from the comparison.
EIOPA would expect that in most cases the sum of C0071 in S.14.01.01.05 to be equal to S.04.04.01.01 C0010 R0050 plus S.04.04.01.01 C0020 R0050 for all underwriting entity codes (z0020) for matching Lines of Business.
