Question

Should derivatives other than futures get CIC Country Code XL or XT? Some believes the derivatives they hold, are not by nature exchange tradable and they should get code XT. However, some believes the derivatives they held, are not listed but by nature are exchange tradable and they should get code XL. Do I need to examine each derivative documentation and determine if they should get XL or XT?

Answer

Yes, the assessment on the CIC needs to be done individually for each derivative.
