Question
I have a question on the "Technical Annex V: Complementary Identification Code (CIC) Table" table given the introduction of quinf (qualifying infrastructure equity) and quinfc (qualifying infrastructure corporate equity). Which 3rd and 4th postitions will the CIC code have given the existence of quinf and quincf?
Answer
The classification of CIC digit 3 and 4, undertakings shall take into consideration the most representative risk to which the asset is exposed to. For equity, including qualifying infrastructure equity and qualifying infrastructure corporate equity, the CIC category is 3 – Equity. The sub-category needs to be selected according to the individual properties of the asset.
