Question

What should be filled in C0040 "Number of underwriting risks"? Only policies valid at reporting date are to be filled or  should this sum involve also number of policies terminated during the reporting period (in force at least for a short period during the reporting period)?  The same question accounts for premium, only premium for valid policies at reporting date are to be filled in C0060 "Total annual written premium" or should this sum involve also premium for policies terminated during the reporting period?

Answer

In S.21.03 the reference date should be the end of the reporting year. C0040/R0010-R0210 "Number of underwriting risks" which is the number of underwriting risks whose sum insured falls within the start amount and end amount of the applicable bracket should not include the policies that were terminated during the reporting period. Only the premiums related to the contracts reported should be included.
