Question

Our systems do not capture historical premiums paid/received data relating to swaps contracts. Hence, this information would not be available for historic trades. However, we will modify the systems to collect and store this information for all swap trades from the end of this year. As such, we are not planning to report premiums paid/received before end of the year relating to swaps, and we will report that information for all swaps from the beginning of next year (2015). Can EIOPA confirm if that is acceptable?

Answer

It is up to the NSA to decide on the specific situation. EIOPA welcomes the fact the preparatory phase requirements help insurance and reinsurance undertakings to identify any data gaps and solve them for the implementation of the Solvency II.
