Question

Could precious metals, such as gold, silver etc., be considered as HLQA, i.e. be included in the LCR buffer? Otherwise, could be precious metas be considered in C66 Counterbalancing Capacity in the residual row "Other tradable assets"?

Background

A close list of assets wich can be defined "high quality liquid" or "tradable" does not exist. According to the definitions provided in the Delegated Act, it is not clear if gold, for example, can be defined tradable.
