Die Finanzaufsicht BaFin hat am 3. April 2025 Geldbußen in Höhe von 520.000 Euro gegen die UmweltBank AG festgesetzt.
Der Sanktion lagen Verstöße gegen § 81 Absatz 1 Satz 2 Nummer 1 Buchstabe a in Verbindung mit § 80 Absatz 1 Wertpapierhandelsgesetz (WpHG) in Verbindung mit Artikel 22 der Delegierten Verordnung (EU) 2017/565 sowie § 81 Absatz 3 WpHG zugrunde.
Die UmweltBank AG hatte die Compliance-Funktion in den Jahren 2020 bis 2023 nicht ausreichend ausgestattet.
Die UmweltBank AG hatte den Geschäftsleitern den Compliance-Bericht für das Jahr 2021/2022 nicht vollständig zur Verfügung gestellt.
Das Unternehmen kann gegen den Bußgeldbescheid Einspruch einlegen.
