The Financial Supervisory Authority of the Central Bank of Iceland concluded this case by way of settlement and the payment of an administrative fine for a breach of Art. 11 of MiFID II (Art. 12(1) of domestic Act No. 115/20212 on Markets for Financial Instruments). The company’s violations relate to failure to provide adequate notification beforehand of its intention to acquire holding in a domestic investment firm.
The Financial Supervisory Authority decided to conclude the case by way of settlement and the payment of and administrative fine in the amount of 750.000 ISK.
